Resilience

Has anyone else noticed the spiders this past week or so? Beautifully spinning their webs amongst the flowers and the hedgerows. This particular spider has been weaving their web in our front garden for days, with two master threads, upper and lower, stretching across from the rosemary to the wall of the house, across the pathway from the front door of the house to the drive. The first day I clocked these threads and ducked, and asked Eden to do the same as he got in the car, then as I went back to the house to collect our final bags, in true mama-brain style I walked straight through both threads and collapsed the web. I felt terrible, so gutted I'd fucked up all this spider's hard work and dedication. Yesterday as we left the house, I noticed the web and the threads up again - woo-hoo! - and this time I ducked. Then, home last night - fuuuuuuuk.... I forgot again and walked right through them, collapsing the web. Again. Today, dear spider and their web is back up and running. And today I didn't fuck it up..... A good day.
